AFL COACHES’ VOTES – ROUND 20

Some of the AFL’s most dynamic performers – including Patrick Dangerfield, Dustin Martin, Cyril Rioli – scored perfect 10s in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award for Round 20.

Leader Nat Fyfe (100 votes) maintained his place at the head of the pack as Dan Hannebery (85) failed to poll in Sydney’s win over Collingwood.

Todd Goldstein (73) picked up three votes to make a little ground on the midfield pair out in front. His captain Andrew Swallow got 10 votes in the clash between the Kangaroos and Saints.

Rioli’s six goals for Hawthorn against arch-rival Geelong was enough for Chris Scott and Alastair Clarkson to adjudge him best on ground.

And Martin’s fine form continued for the Tigers on Sunday as Richmond thrashed Gold Coast.

Luke Dahlhaus was the pick of the Bulldogs against the Demons according to Paul Roos and Luke Beveridge.

Josh Hill nabbed eight votes in the western derby, Luke Shuey got seven and Josh Kennedy six in an even display for the Eagles.

Mitch Robinson, meanwhile, was back to haunt his old side as the Brisbane recruit scored maximum votes against the Blues.

Dangerfield, the star of Adelaide’s big win over Essendon, moved into the top 10 with maximum votes.
