AFL legends tee off at Hopper Motor Golf Day

The annual AFL Players’ Alumni Golf-Day reached new heights in 2015, with Hopper Motor Group and MoleMap coming on-board as commercial partners, and a huge contingent of alumni members heading down the highway to enjoy a hit of golf, a beer and a few laughs.

More than 70 former players gathered at the Moonah Links Golf Course last month, with greats of yesteryear such as Ian Aitken, Ken Fletcher and Geoff Southby representing the older brigade, and Justin Koschitzke, Brendan Fevola and Brad Sewell among the more recent retirees.

Former Hawk Rayden Tallis was one of several to finish inches away from landing a brand new car – Hopper Motor Group put a car on the line on one of the par threes for anyone who was skilful (or lucky) enough to hit a hole-in-one.

While nobody left with a new set of wheels, the boys had plenty of fun having a crack at it.

AFL Players’ Alumni members can receive fleet pricing on any vehicle within the Hopper Motor Group network.

The Hopper Motor Alumni Golf Day was also the Players’ Association’s first chance to give alumni members access to MoleMap.

“It’s extremely important, especially with the climate we have in Australia,” Former Bomber Ken Fletcher told aflplayers.com.au.

“My dad had brown skin, but he died of melanoma when he was 42.”

AFL Players’ Alumni Members are eligible for 100 dollars off any full body check, and can book an appointment here.
