AFL Players Grow & Move For Movember

In AFL circles, November is synonymous with players running up hills in various worldly locations and throwing weights around club gyms.

But before the players return for their first pre-season training session, the month is also the only time of year where it’s acceptable for the male population to let the hair on their upper lip grow at an uncontrollable rate.

And 2016 was no different, with Movember ambassador Tom Rockliff as well as the addition of female footballers Karen Paxman and Lauren Arnell partaking in the organisation’s various challenges to stop men dying too young.

Movember is a foundation focussing on raising awareness for men’s mental health with the goal of stopping men dying too young.

Rockliff participated in the original concept of growing a mustache for 30 days, while Paxman and Arnell took on the Move Challenge – a concept of setting your own move target for the month.
