Daffodil Day — Lynden Dunn

When his grandmother was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2004, Lynden Dunn didn’t know what to expect.

But 14 years later, she’s as strong as ever having beaten the disease which has claimed so many lives around the world.

Ahead of Daffodil Day, the Collingwood defender sat down with AFLPlayers.com.au to chat about his grandma’s fight and how cancer can affect the loved ones of those impacted.

Daffodil Day will take place on Friday, August 24, with the much-needed funds going towards Cancer Council’s vital research, prevention programs, advocacy and support for the many Australians affected by cancer.

One in three Victorians will develop cancer before the age of 75, with the daffodil being the international symbol of hope for everyone affected by cancer.

Cancer Council aims to raise more than $4 million across Australia this Daffodil Day and, along with its research partners, have invested more than $285M in world-class cancer research during the past five years.

Cancer Council is Australia’s leading cancer charity working across every aspect of every cancer. Each day, they support families affected by cancer, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.
