As a defender, Libby Birch doesn’t kick many goals.

But after a contentious double 50m penalty in Round 7 this year, she kicked her first AFLW major of her career.

Birch’s fist-pump celebration mid-100m penalty was one of the highlights of teammate Ellie Blackburn’s season.

To celebrate the end of AFLW 3.0, and Birch’s first goal, Blackburn rewarded Birch with a trip to the Fairfield Boathouse.
