Hodge’s latest challenge

Luke Hodge is used to winning. The four-time Hawthorn premiership star has spent the week basking in the glory of another flag.

“Matt performed some impressive stunts, although he could still learn a thing or two when it comes to perfecting his footy skills” – Luke Hodge

But when Hodge took on Australia’s No.1 stunt rider Matt Mingay recently, the Hawks star was out of his comfort zone.

Mattel Hot Wheels ambassadors Hodge and Mingay battled it out in the ultimate father-son showdown.

Team Hodge tackled Team Mingay in a series of hair-raising challenges at Melbourne’s Calder Park.

Luke’s seven-year-old son, Cooper, and Matt’s eight-year-old son, Maddox, equally showed their competitive side with Maddox performing tricks on his mini Hot Wheels stunt bike and Cooper showing he has his father’s footy skills.

No match for the full throttle speed and power of the Hot Wheels stunt vehicles, Team Hodge lost out in the last round.

“It was a close call but Matt performed some impressive stunts, although he could still learn a thing or two when it comes to perfecting his footy skills,” Hodge said.
