The two players were pitted against each other in a quick-fire quiz which tested the number of warning sources each of them could remember.

It’s important to know where to find fire warnings because if a warning has been issued, it means a fire has started. Fire warnings can be found at the following places:

-The FireReady smartphone app
-The VicEmergency website (emergency.vic.gov.au)
-Radio (ABC local radio, commercial radio and designated community stations)
-SKY news
-The Victorian Bushfire Information Line (1800 240 667)
-CFA’s Facebook and Twitter

You may be alerted to a fire that threatens your area by sirens or an emergency phone call or text via the emergency alert system.

It’s also important to check more than one source for fire warnings.

And remember, warnings don’t travel as fast as a fire can, so always monitor the conditions around you and don’t rely on receiving a warning.
