A record-breaking performance from Adelaide Crows midfielder Ebony Marinoff headlines the nominations for the AFLW MVP of the Week for Round 3, presented by Gloria Jean’s. Marinoff is joined by teammate Erin Phillips and Carlton’s rising star, Madison Prespakis.

In scorching conditions at Norwood Oval, Marinoff continued her dominant start to the season breaking the AFLW record for the most disposals in a game and earning her second AFLW MVP of the Week nomination for 2019. Marinoff gathered 33 disposals and laid six tackles as Adelaide overcame Geelong by 29 points.
Marinoff’s teammate Phillips was also dominant, imposing herself on the contest with eight first-quarter disposals and kicking two goals in four minutes. The Adelaide co-captain finished the game with three goals and 19 disposals as Adelaide improved to a 2-1 start to the season.
AFLW Round 2 Rising Star nominee Prespakis was best-on-ground as Carlton recorded their highest ever AFLW score. Last year’s no. 3 pick looked comfortable in the Blues midfield gathering 21 disposals in Carlton’s first win for season 2019. Prespakis finished the game with four marks and three goals to go with her 21 disposals.
The AFL Players’ Association has partnered with Gloria Jean’s again in 2019 to stage the prestigious AFLW Players’ MVP Award at the end of the season, and the AFLW MVP of the Week.
Fans will get the choice to select the MVP of the Week, after three names have been put forward by the AFLPA.
