Jonathon Ceglar

Jonathon Ceglar

  • Full Name: Jonathon Ceglar
  • DOB: 14/02/1991
  • Place of birth: Victoria
  • Original Team: Wodonga Raiders (VIC)
  • Draft: #15 2009 Rookie Draft, Collingwood
  • Height/Weight: 204/90
  • Position(s): Ruck

Ceglar initially entered AFL circles having been drafted by Collingwood prior to the 2010 season, only to be delisted at the end of the 2012 season. Hawthorn swooped to keep the ruckman’s AFL dreams alive, having selected Ceglar during the 2013 Rookie Draft. Patience would be a key factor for the former Murray Bushranger as he was forced to await his chance in the Hawks line-up. 2014 proved to be the breakout year Ceglar was looking for as he played a number of games for the reigning premiers. His patience is set to be tested during 2017, his first year as an AFLPA delegate, as he continues to recover from a serious knee injury.
