Murdoch leading new breed of Cats

Dashing Cats midfielder Jordan Murdoch is feeling at home in Geelong.

“I’m feeling more comfortable in the side than I ever have” – Jordan Murdoch

In 2015, his fourth season at the club, he’s broken the 50-game barrier, played the best game of his career to date – a 26-disposal, four-goal, best on ground effort against Carlton in Round 8 – and is averaging more possessions per game than ever before.

Off the field, the 23-year-old has just become a homeowner in the city and signed a new three-year deal to stick with the Cats until the end of 2018.

Murdoch is studying part-time, planning his wedding to his long-term partner in October, and part of generation next at Kardinia Park.

The South Australian is busier than he’s ever been off the field – and performing better than he ever has on it at AFL level.

Choosing to pursue a footy career ahead of cricket, his other passion as a teenager, is paying dividends.
