AFL Players’ Alumni head to Moonah Links

More than 130 past players gathered at the scenic Moonah Links golf course and resort on Friday for the annual AFL Players’ Alumni Golf Day, presented by KIESER.

The sweltering heat didn’t deter the cohort of Alumni members, who took to the course to compete in a four-ball, Ambrose format.

A whole host of greats from yesteryear and recently retired players took part, with the likes of Brad Sewell, Chris Dawes, Gary Buckenara, Sean Wellman, Campbell Brown and Bernie Quinlan in attendance.

Cobra Puma Golf came on board in 2018, hosting the Longest Drive competition on the 18th hole, with former PGA Tour professional Tim Wise taking the footballers through their paces.

The AFL Players’ Association’s new sunscreen partner, 2XP, provided the protection the players needed, with temperatures reaching the high 30s for most of the day.
