AFL Players launch Walk to School 2018

North Melbourne AFLW player Moana Hope grew up without social media and video games, instead kicking the football any chance she had.

Ahead of VicHealth’s Walk to School month, Hope visited Galilee Regional Primary School to decorate shoes and encourage healthy habits.

VicHealth’s Walk to School initiative is a fun and easy way to encourage Victorian primary school kids to become more active and achieve the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity.

Last year, 759 primary schools across Victoria took part, with 140,303 walking more than 1.6 million kilometres during October.

Walk to School 2018 runs from October 8 to November 2.

Register your school’s involvement here for the chance to win a clinic from an AFL or AFLW player.
