Richmond’s Alex Rance, Essendon’s David Zaharakis and Collingwood’s Tyson Goldsack have been announced as ambassadors for one of Australia’s leading fitness clubs, Fitness First, as part of a year-long partnership with the AFL Players’ Association.

Through their involvement, Rance, Zaharakis and Goldsack will showcase Fitness First’s elite facilities and classes, which are used by more than 240,000 members.

Lead ambassador, Rance, said he was excited to be a part of the partnership, especially during the launch of the fitness club’s 2016 campaign called “Get There”.

“It’s about how fitness can play a role in helping people achieve in all areas of their life.” – Alex Rance

“This partnership and campaign is great fit for all AFL players as it’s all about taking a unique look at an individual’s personal story and journey to date, and how fitness can play a role in helping them achieve in all areas of their life,” Rance said.

Fitness First provides tailored approaches to individual fitness with the best equipment and through a range of classes in 78 fitness clubs throughout Australia.

AFL Players’ Association CEO, Paul Marsh, said he was thrilled to align the players with a brand that shared similar values to their Association.

“With both the AFL Players’ Association and Fitness First have a strong focus on ensuring that not only the body, but more importantly, the mind remain in peak condition to achieve greatness, this partnership came as a very natural fit for us,” he said.

Fitness First’s national fitness manager, Michael Cunico, agreed the partnership was a natural progression for the organisation.

“AFL players are so committed to training hard and learning what it is in their regime that helps them win on and off the field, so it will be fantastic to have the support of Alex, David, Tyson and all players as we encourage all Australians to find their own winning moments,” he said.
