Ahead of the AFL Players’ Association MVP Awards on Tuesday, September 13, each player from the 18 AFL teams voted for who they consider to be the Best First Year Player.
Presented by Tissot, the Best First Year Player has been awarded annually since 1998, with Port Adelaide’s Nick Stevens receiving the inaugural accolade.
Since then, three clubs have had multiple winners, with Fremantle leading the way with three recipients.
