AFLPA, AFL SportsReady launch Outduction Camp, sponsored by TwoPointZero

The transition out of the game is the toughest challenge.

That’s what the players have preached, which led to the AFL Players’ Association and AFL SportsReady teaming up to put together the annual Outduction Camp for players who are transitioning out of the game, sponsored by TwoPointZero.

Last week, the AFL Players’ Association and career coaching firm TwoPointZero announced a partnership to further assist AFL players transitioning out of the game, in conjunction with the launch of the inaugural Outduction Camp, ran in accordance with AFL SportsReady.

Over the course of two days at the scenic Moonah Links resort, 40 transitioning players from the last three seasons gathered with the opportunity to build on the personal and career development insights they uncovered during their playing time, and were provided with the chance to put that into practice as they seek their next venture.

On Day 1, the players were set up with the chance to identify the skills that they can bring to the workforce in their next chapter. TwoPointZero assisted the players by setting up career profiling and networking opportunities.

On Day 2, AFL SportsReady took the lead by bringing in host of employers from a range of industries to allow the players the chance to network. A number of former players who have transitioned successfully were on-hand to assist.
