The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos improved to a 2-0 start to the season, shrugging off two weather delays, defeating the GWS Giants by 25 points in Sydney. Captain and reigning AFLW best-and-fairest Kearney was best afield in the tumultuous conditions gathering 22 touches and laying eight tackles in the win.
In a dominant team display on Saturday, Melbourne co-captain O’Dea worked tirelessly gathering 26 touches, laying five tackles and kicking one goal in the Demons’ 17-point win over Collingwood.
