Another best-on-ground performance from reigning AFLW MVP of the Week Erin Phillips headlines the nominations for the AFLW MVP of the Week for Round 4, presented by Gloria Jean’s. Phillips is joined by Round 1 winner North Melbourne’s Emma King and Brisbane’s Ally Anderson.

Adelaide co-captain Phillips continued her solid start to the season, starring in the Crows’ 42-point victory over the previously undefeated Dockers. In another best-on-ground performance, Phillips gathered 25 disposals and kicked two majors as Adelaide booted six unanswered goals in the second half to claim victory and move to second spot in conference A.
North Melbourne ruck Emma King starred in their win over Melbourne as the Kangaroos remain the only undefeated team this season. King was dominant rotating through the ruck and forward line, collecting 18 hit-outs and kicking three goals.
In perfect conditions at Whitten Oval, Anderson led the travelling Lions to a dominant 32-point victory in the grand final rematch. Anderson gathered 20 disposals and laid five tackles as Brisbane moved to top spot in conference B.
The AFL Players’ Association has partnered with Gloria Jean’s again in 2019 to stage the prestigious AFLW Players’ MVP Award at the end of the season, and the AFLW MVP of the Week.
Fans will get the choice to select the MVP of the Week, after three names have been put forward by the AFLPA.
