A staggering 53 per cent of fans have voted Erin Phillips as the Round 3 AFLW MVP of the Week, presented by Gloria Jean’s.
With their season in the balance at 0-2, Erin Phillips couldn’t have returned to the Adelaide line-up at a better time following a pre-season quad injury. In what was a narrow win over the Bulldogs, Phillips’ performance stood out from the rest, kicking four goals and gathering 15 disposals in the seven-point triumph to get their season back on track.
The GWS Giants’ Alicia Eva received 28 per cent of the votes following her stellar 23-disposal performance against the Pies, while Brisbane’s Emily Bates finished in third place.
The AFL Players’ Association has partnered with Gloria Jean’s to stage the prestigious AFLW Players’ MVP Award at the end of the season, and the AFLW MVP of the Week, a new concept that provides the fans with the opportunity to vote for the best performer of the round.
