Players’ Association supports Mitch Clark

The AFL Players’ Association today acknowledges the retirement of Mitch Clark.

CEO Matt Finnis said, “The Players’ Association will continue to offer our support and services to Mitch and commend him on his courage in dealing with what is a very personal issue.

“The Association acknowledges the support provided to Mitch by the Melbourne Football Club throughout this process.

“Mental illness is a serious issue that effects one in four individuals and AFL footballers are not immune.

“The Players’ Association wellbeing team provides services to optimise personal wellbeing during and following AFL careers,” Finnis said.

The Association highlights the importance for Mitch’s privacy to be respected during this time.
