Revamped system for player agent accreditation

After a review of the accreditation system, the AFL Players’ Association Professional Certificate (Player Agent) course has been revamped for 2015.

The accreditation process involves applying to the PA, along with securing professional indemnity insurance, undertake a police record check, and submitting a CV.

If approved, the next step involves undertaking the three and a half hour Agent Accreditation Entrance Exam. The exam is open book and covers all the relevant codes and policies of AFL football such as CBA, AFL Rules, and Agent Regulations.

Under the new system, the exam is incorporated into a one and a half day course in June on player management where participants will learn the ins and outs of effective player management and hear from key industry figures, increasing the standard and knowledge of those coming into the industry to represent the best interests of players.

Applicants are required to achieve a mark of 75 percent or better and those that pass will attend our annual conference which includes a half-day induction session.
