The AFL post-season gives footballers a chance to focus on life away from the footy field. For some, it involves a holiday – for others, a chance to spend time at home with family. For Luke Dahlhaus and Kade Simpson, it’s the perfect opportunity to shed some unwanted hair before summer rolls around again.
Western Bulldogs’ supporters might find Dahlhaus harder to identify next season, as the zippy number six will soon part with his trademark dreadlocks. Carlton’s own number six, Kade Simpson, will be getting rid of some hair of his own. The days of the bushy beard that has made him a cult figure are numbered.
Both players will part with their hair for charity; they’re each aiming to raise 10 thousand dollars.
Simpson will donate his money to Down Syndrome Victoria, while Dahlhaus is raising money for The Whitten Foundation and Good Friday Appeal.

Dahlhaus’s new look will be unveiled on the Grand Final edition of Before the Game this Friday. His teammate Liam Jones will be in charge of proceedings.
“I can’t say I’m looking forward to seeing what hairstyle Jonesy has in store for me,” Dahlhaus told the Bulldogs’ website.
