Collingwood’s Brianna Davey continued her stellar season in week one of the AFLW finals series and headlines this week’s AFLW MVP of the Week award, proudly supported by July.
Fellow competition stars Karen Paxman and Kiara Bowers are the other nominees in line for the weekly award.
Davey was at her scintillating best in a thrilling win over North Melbourne gathering 31 disposals and laying nine tackles.
Paxman and Bowers duelled it out in the other AFLW qualifying finals game, with the Demons emerging victorious.
Both players collected 20 disposals a piece, while Bowers laid a staggering 17 tackles to do all she could to keep her side in the game.
The AFL Players’ Association AFLW MVP of the Week is in its fourth year and looks to recognise the AFLW’s best performers each round. Fans will get the choice to select the MVP of the Week, after three names have been put forward by the AFLPA.
