The weekend in 2 minutes

Tiger changes his stripes

Robin Nahas has officially joined the Kangaroos as a delisted free agent after 83 games in five seasons at Richmond.

Nahas was recruited to the Tigers via VFL club Port Melbourne and quickly made a name for himself as a creative half-forward.

The 25-year-old played just six games this season and is looking forward to adding to his 100-career goal tally alongside Lindsay Thomas in 2014.

Off to the races

The spring racing carnival came to a close on Saturday with several AFL stars putting an exclamation mark on their campaigns at Emirate Stakes Day.

Dane Swan bumped into an old mate and was lucky enough to get an autograph, while former St Kilda player Will Johnson also spotted a familiar face in the crowd…

Fraser Gherig appreciation day

Young Collingwood star Ben Kennedy celebrated the legacy of a former West Coast and St Kilda champ in a novel way on Sunday.

Lions in Arizona

The Brisbane Lions left for their high altitude training camp in Arizona last week and in-between training sessions the boys have been getting amongst the campus life at North Arizona University.

In danger Mitchell

Port Adelaide’s Lord Farquaad lookalike, Kane Mitchell was forced to evacuate his apartment over the weekend and had five minutes to salvage his most valued items.

Seeing red…

Given Dan Jackson’s form in 2013 he is likely to go from the hunter to the hunted next season and given his off-season training regime he is certain to be prepared for such a challenge.
