Tex Walker had the privilege of interviewing one his sporting idols, in reigning US Masters champion Adam Scott, last week.
“I was very nervous, I reckon I was more nervous speaking to Adam than playing my first game. But I really enjoyed it, he’s a really nice guy, a great fella and I’m looking forward to watching him play tomorrow,” Walker said following the interview.

Seeing Scott, a Crows fan, dominating on the world stage serves as great inspiration for Walker and teammate Brent Reilly who was also had the opportunity to meet Scott.
“We were talking about it before and he was saying he takes his Crows gear overseas, and I’ve just been to America and you take an interest in sport outside the country. For him to take his Crows scarf and Crows guernsey overseas and show it around, I think is really good for the game and puts AFL on the map.”
Scott went on to win the Australian masters, thanks to ideal pre-round preparation – well according to Walker anyway.
Congratulations to #AdamScott on winning the Australian Talisker Masters. Thank god he listened to… http://t.co/BkTK3kf845
