18-year-old Port Adelaide utility Jarman Impey received the Rising Star nomination for Round 8 after a strong defensive performance that limited Fremantle’s Hayden Ballantyne to just nine possessions on Saturday.
Impey has played every game this season; Power coach Ken Hinkley says his versatility is proving a valuable addition to the side.
“We’ve played him different spots over the past eight weeks – we’ve had him in the forward line, the midfield and back, we’ve had him on Betts and we’ve had him on Ballantyne,” Hinkley says.
“We’ve given him some big jobs and he just does what the team needs and he just gives his absolute all for the whole team.”
Impey is elligible for this year’s 22under22 side. Which position would he fit best in? Let us know in the comment box below.
