For so many footballers, the next step following their career is so often the most difficult.

But Gold Coast’s Steven May is well on his way to establishing his next career adventure post-footy.

In the above video, May talks about his dreams for the future and how he is hoping to break through in an industry very different to the football field.

“I’ve tried googling and finding out how many Indigenous pilots there are. I think there might be one or two commercial pilots,” May told Aflplayers.com.au.

“So in that respect I haven’t really had someone to look up to or give me inspiration that I could go and be a commercial pilot.”

With that in mind, May doesn’t just want to be an inspiration on the field, he’s looking to be a role model off it.
