Have you ever wondered what goes through a high draft pick’s head during the initial stages of their AFL career?
The pressure and high expectations, entering an elite environment and the ups and downs of life as an AFL footballer are all topics of discussion in a casual stroll with the competition’s two latest players to be taken with pick one in the national draft.
Essendon’s Andrew McGrath and Brisbane’s Cameron Rayner are set to face off this Sunday for the first time, and they caught up earlier this week to chat recent form, stepping up to AFL level and jumper numbers while walking through South Yarra’s Fawkner Park, presented by Gloria Jean’s.
Gloria Jean’s is the official coffee partner of the AFL Players’ Association and was the proud sponsor of the 2018 AFLW MVP Awards, including the AFLW MVP of the Week competition, which ran throughout the AFLW season.
As part of the exciting partnership, the AFLPA will be presenting a content series dedicated to showcasing the players in a casual setting, with Essendon star Joe Daniher the next installment.
