They say a picture tells a thousand words and the image of Cyril Rioli surrounded by adoring Hawks fans in Katherine last week told a simple story – Junior Boy is the King of the kids.
The visit was part of the AFL Club Partnership Program, and included current players Cyril Rioli, Jed Anderson and 2008 Premiership player Chance Bateman who visited remote communities and the town of Katherine itself, promoting positive messages to kids about healthy life choices.
The Hawks have been visiting this region for several years now and connected once again with the U18’s local football team, the Big River Hawks who are an affiliated Club of the Hawks, and put the boys through their players with a training session.
The tour will continue to Sydney, Brisbane, across Tasmania, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Canberra over the next month where fans will have the opportunity to have a photo taken with the 2013 Premiership Cup.
