At a time when interesting haircuts are the norm, the West Coast Eagles like to add their own flavour to the mix.
Already sporting Nic Naitanui’s dread locks, Matt Priddis’s perm, and previously Will Schofield’s ‘Ned Kelly’ style beard, The Eagles have thrown Luke Shuey and Andrew Gaff into the mix. The duo is now sporting West Coast-coloured hair for charity.
In Partnership with the Cancer Council Western Australia and a helping hand from a few girls form the Hockeyroos, the Eagles pair coloured their hair different streaks and spots of Blue and Yellow to launch their annual Dig Deep campaign.

To celebrate the launch of the campaign, Shuey teamed up with Hockeyroo Anna Flanagan in the colour-off but came up short to Flanagan’s teammate Jane-Ann Claxton.
“We felt we were ripped a bit but there’s always next year,” Shuey joked.
“I’m wrapped to be working with the Cancer Council again this year and the club is privileged to be part of such a great foundation so let’s hope for another successful year.”

Into the tenth year of the campaign, West Coast and Cancer Council WA have raised more than $900,000 for the charity and 2014 shapes as a landmark year with the possibility of nearing the million dollar mark.
