Since joining the Gold Coast Suns in 2011, Jarrod Harbrow has continued to go from strength to strength on the field of play.
Having now established himself as a leader among the Suns’ young playing group, the former Western Bulldog is keen to make an impact in the community, having launched the Jarrod Harbrow Leadership Academy.
The program, which commenced in November 2015, aims to develop participants’ knowledge of the Gold Coast Indigenous community, while presenting opportunities to access state and national academies.
The talent program is designed to provide a wide range of support and services to Indigenous athletes from the Gold Coast region, with talented youths between the ages of 13-16 receiving ongoing mentorship from Harbrow.
In the above video, the 28-year-old discusses what hopes and dreams he has for the program in the coming years.
“Hopefully we can see some of these kids reap the benefits that we want them to achieve.”
