Presented by AFL Players’ and higher education partner, La Trobe University, our Sports Symposium will be hosted by Ian Cohen and will kick off with a one-hour panel discussion led by highly credentialed sports administrators and journalists – Brian Cook, CEO at Geelong, Paul Connors, respected player agent and owner of Connors Sports Management and renowned sport journalist from The Age, Emma Quayle.

“We’re thrilled to have panellists of the calibre of Brian Cook, Paul Connors and Emma Quayle joining us at our first Sport Symposium” – Ian Prendergast

Following the panel discussion, guests will be invited to network exclusively with our panellists and other industry experts in an informal setting at La Trobe University’s impressive city campus.

“We’re thrilled to have panellists of the calibre of Brian Cook, Paul Connors and Emma Quayle joining us at our first Sport Symposium,” said AFL Players’ Acting CEO Ian Prendergast.

“They’ll each bring different experiences from within the same industry, so I’m sure the discussion generated by the panel will be excellent and particularly valuable to those keen to get ahead within the industry.”

Professor Russell Hoye of La Trobe Sport says the Symposium will be a wonderful event offering people a chance to mix with the industry’s best.

“La Trobe University is proud to be the higher education partner of the Players’ Association.  We’re looking forward to hosting this unique opportunity for people to hear from and talk with some of the best sport executives and journalists about the secrets to their career development in sport,” said Professor Hoye.

The Symposium will be held at La Trobe University’s city campus on Wednesday 30th July. Registrations are open to anyone with an interest in gaining great insight into what makes a great sports administrator, media personality or talent manager.
