Ruck-star claims AFLW MVP of the Week

Adelaide Crows’ ruck Caitlin Gould has claimed this week’s AFLW MVP of the Week, proudly presented by Snaffle.

In what was some of the wildest weather we’ve seen this season, a battle of the birds saw the Crows claim a spot in the preliminary finals.

After a thirty-minute delay to the start of the match, Caitlin Gould won the opening clearance and set up the Crows’ first goal – just 20 seconds into the game. The momentum only built from there, with Gould collecting 28 hitouts across all four quarters.

Despite thunderstorms delaying the match again at quarter-time, the Crows star finished with 14 disposals, seven clearances, and six tackles, putting together a complete performance across the contest.

The other nominees for Finals Week Two were Ash Riddell (North Melbourne) and Jasmine Garner (North Melbourne).
